Tucson Orchid Society

Pink cattleya in bloom.

The Tucson Orchid Society (TOS) is a friendly group of orchid growers in southeastern Arizona that gather to share tips on growing orchids. We particularly enjoy bringing orchids in bloom for show and tell and our speakers often bring plants to sell. Growing in the desert is different and we can help you learn how to encourage your plants to bloom. Visitors are always welcome!

Orchid Show and Sale

March 1 and 2, 2025. It’s time for the 30th Fiesta de las Flores at the Mesquite Valley Growers Nursery. It’s our annual orchid show and sale where we will have orchid displays, plants for sale and orchid judging. Have questions or want to swap stories on how to grow orchids? Come on by! We’ll have Tucson Orchid Society members available to talk about their favorite ways to rebloom orchids! Free admission. Orchid displays will be set up by 10:00 on Saturday. Hours: Saturday 9 to 5, Sunday 9-3:30.

We regularly meet on the third Wednesday in January through October. In November, the Society holds a fundraising plant auction. The auction is usually on a different day rather than the third Wednesday. In December, we have a wonderful, relaxing potluck at a member’s greenhouse.

Monthly meetings are held at the Gem & Mineral Society Building (side entrance), 3727 E. Blacklidge Dr., Tucson, AZ 85716 Doors open at 6:30 PM and the meetings start at 7:00 PM.
